Citroën’s ë-Dispatch has won the Continental Tyres Irish Van of the Year award for 2022, voted for by thirty-five of the country’s top motoring journalists representing the Irish Motoring Writers Association (IMWA) and the Association of Professional Motoring Press (APMP).
The presentation, which took place at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin earlier today, saw the fully electric ë-Dispatch take the prestigious award after beating off stiff competition from the likes of the Maxus e-Deliver 3, Maxus e-Deliver 9, Mercedes-Benz e-Sprinter, Toyota Proace City and the Volkswagen Caddy van. The Citroën ë -Dispatch is part of the Stellantis Group’s jointly developed medium van offering which also includes the Opel Vivaro-e and Peugeot e-Expert. No stranger to success, this trio was also awarded the 2021 International Van of the Year award last year. This latest award comes as no surprise to Citroën as the French company prides itself in the work of the professions it tailors for. Citroën has over 100 years of experience in van production having started with the likes of the iconic H Van and 2CV minivan, today the Berlingo and Relay complete the van range along with the Dispatch and ë-Dispatch.
In terms of specification, the ë -Dispatch is available with a choice of two specification grades (enterprise and enterprise vision) and two lengths (medium and long wheelbase) while two battery options are also available (50kWh and 75 kWh).
