Citroën in Ireland are delighted to announce a very significant official vehicle partnership with Barretstown children charity based in Kildare.
Barretstown offers free, specially designed camps and programmes for children and their families living with a serious illness – supported behind the scenes by 24 hour on site medical and nursing care. All the children and families come to Barretstown free of charge. Everything, including accommodation, food and medical assistance are provided at no cost to the family. It costs over €7 million per year to run the Barretstown programmes and just 2% support is obtained through government funding. As a result, fundraising is the single most important source of income for this charity to ensure they can provide these related services.
With this in mind, Citroën Ireland have stepped in to assist with their transport costs by donating two ë-C4 models and one ë-Berlingo for the next year. Citroën Ireland are extremely proud to be ‘Supporting the Electric Feeling at Barretstown’.
These vehicles will be used to transport Barretstown’s campers to and from their free therapeutic recreation camps and programmes. These cars will support Barretstown to achieve their ambitious target of supporting 10,000 children and family members living with serious and often life-threatening illness in 2022 - for the first time ever in a single year.
Citroën Ireland are delighted to begin a fruitful partnership with such an important charity.
