EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CHARGING
THE POWER GRID
It can be monophased - most home installations - or three-phase. Before choosing your charging solution you need to check the type of installation you have.
THE CHARGING STATION
It defines the power distributed and the recharge time of your plug-in electric or hybrid vehicle.
Several solutions are available: standard charging with a domestic or reinforced socket, accelerated charging with a Wall box-type charging station at home or on the public network, fast and super fast charging on the public and motorway network. Superchargers from 50kw are equipped with their own cable, they are not compatible with plug-in hybrid vehicles.
THE CHARGING CABLE
The speed of the load also depends on the power that the cable can accommodate. Each cable has a particular charging load it can tolerate.
THE ON-BOARD CHARGER
Its role is to convert the alternating current provided by the plugs and charging stations (excluding superchargers) into direct current to power the battery. Its power also determines the recharge times.
More powerful on-board chargers can therefore be available as an option, depending on the vehicle, to take advantage of optimised charging times.
THE BATTERY
The traction battery is guaranteed for 8 years or over 160,000 km for at least 70% of its charging capacity.
Our electric vehicle batteries are compatible with fast or super-fast charges available on the public grid.

UNITS OF MEASUREMENT
Kilowatt (kW) and kilowatt-hour (kWh) are two units of measurement with similar names. However, they express different concepts.
CHARGING CABLES
Several types of cables are available to optimise the charging of your vehicle. These cables are available as standard, as an option or as an accessory depending on the vehicle.
Mode 2 cable
This cable can provide you with up to 1.8 kW of power.
It can be used to charge from a domestic socket.
Mode 3 cable
This cable can provide up to 7.4 kW of power.
It is used with a wall box installed at home or at a public charging station. Recharging at home on a wall box allows you to recover full autonomy in 2 hours for a rechargeable hybrid vehicle and in less than 1 night for an electric vehicle.
On a plug-in hybrid vehicle, you will need to take the 7.4kW on-board charger option to benefit from this type of charging.
PRIVATE CHARGING: AT HOME OR AT WORK
Charging your hybrid vehicle : nothing could be easier
You can charge your electric or hybrid vehicle from a standard household socket for emergency use with the standard household plug cable.
If you want to charge faster, you can use a wall box. The wall box is the most powerful and will reduce your charging time to a minimum.
Charging your electric vehicle: simple and practical solutions
Several charging methods are possible, depending on the number of kilometres you drive each day and the charging solutions you have outside your home.
Ideally, a wall box 7.4kW: the installation of a wall box charging station is the ideal solution if you want to take advantage of optimised charging times. This type of installation will allow you to benefit from government aid.
For Citroën-C4 100% electric, you have several charging choices:
● Public charging 100kW: 80% in 30 minutes.
● Wall box 7.4 kW: 7hours and 30mins
● Domestic socket: 9 hours for 100km on a standard domestic outlet.
For a Citroen-SpaceTourer 100% electric vehicle, you have several charging choices:
● Public charger 100kW: 80% in 30 minutes for 50kWh battery version and 45 minutes for 75kWh battery version
● Wall box 7.4kW: 7 hours and 30mins to 11 hours and 20mins depending on battery size
